35th – 41st DayzUnderground Territory & POI Maps
It has been a long time (June 2023) since we’ve updated our map posts. Well, those days are behind us. Along with our Community Spotlight catch-up posted earlier in the month, we are getting caught up with our map iterations. Below is every map version we’ve had since the last update. (35-41) We will provide a separate post for the current (42nd) iteration and some helpful information about the old/new groups on the map. In the future, we will update the map posts within the week they are changed.
Some of our groups that meet the official requirements to be recognized as Official DUG Groups & Factions, claim territories & build points of interest for other survivors. Bi-monthly, members can claim their territory or POI through the private DUG forum. You can also find the current map on the in-game tourist maps/stands or by using the command ?dugmap in the DUG Discord.
Featured Groups & Factions
Please keep in mind that these territories & groups represent real people, there are no NPCs. You will not always find survivors present as you wander through territories or you may find that a POI was abandoned. These territories often show you where these groups are based or have ties through their stories & lore. Do not expect to find everyone loitering & waiting for you as you pass through different areas.
Many official groups & factions currently do not claim territory. While active in-game, they may not be featured on the map.
The Map-Making Process & How to Be Included
Every two months, community members come together to create a new territory map that shows the home turfs and points of interest of some of our groups and factions.
The process is quite simple, a thread is posted in our private member forum and any groups or collectives can claim territory or share their points of interest. The map team then votes on those claims based on requirements such as the number of group members, their in-game activity, DUG content creation, and what they add to the community & experience of other players.
Do you want your group or point of interest featured on the map? Show something unique, get involved with other players, play on the server, and join the community if you haven’t yet! Make a name for your group on the server then claim your territory when you’ve built up your reputation.
We want to thank everyone involved in this community-created map, Integrity (FL Joe) for creating these generations and the community members who are represented on it adding more unique aspects to DUG!
